TENG BUKAP BLUE POOL

A place so ethereal and mystical

Teng Bukap Blue Pool: Arts Articles

ABOUT

Teng Bukap is a village located just along the Penrissen Highlands, up a winding road and about an hour’s drive from Kuching. There, you will find the Teng Bukap Blue Pool, a hidden gem just a small walking distance from where you can park your car. A great place for cliff jumping or simply take a dip in the icy cold water.

This place is a nice place for day trip activities such as swimming and picnics. The main pool is a glistening shade of blue-green, with a stunning rock face rising above it. A little trail leads to a handful of points on the cliff face where you can jump into the refreshingly cold water.

TIPS

It is recommended that you have your own vehicle to get here as it is not commercialised and is  located in the village area. The best time to be there is in the morning. By the time noon comes, the sun turns a bit scorching. Wear slippers, apply sunblock, as well as bring a change of clothes, a towel, a power bank, and refreshments, but do pick up after yourselves as there are no proper rubbish bins in that area. Remember, when visiting nature’s gems, take only photos and leave only footprints!
