WOW YOUR TASTE BUDS WITH DAYAK FOOD
Text and Photos by Jasmine Regina
Dayak cuisine is quite balanced as it is mainly comprised of jungle vegetables and protein.
Featured here: midin, a jungle fern, umai, a raw fish dish, pansuh manok, chicken and tapioca leaves cooked in bamboo, and terung asam soup, which is a sourish soup made from ‘sour eggplant’, as the name suggests.
A good place to try halal Dayak food would be Lepau Restaurant situated in the heart of Kuching city.
Tip:
Parking can be an issue here, so use
e-hailing if possible!
